No tv icon

I downloaded this app for its tv out feature, however I am not getting a tv icon to send it to tv. Audio is being sent but not the video. I have the iPod 3rd gen 32 gb model and it clearly states that it will work with this model. Some one please advise how to make this work. Thanks!
